After I finally received what I thought was Glen's autopsy report, someone has told me that it doesn't appear to be an autopsy report; that it appears to be a report that had been sent to the State Attorney's Office in 1968. I think that's a requirement for every autopsy done in every state.
After being told it doesn't appear to be an autopsy report, I looked online for samples of autopsy reports, and from what I've seen, I don't believe what I have is Glen's autopsy report.
Possibly, maybe the first page is; because it says "Autopsy report" on it. But I don't believe the rest of the pages are from his autopsy report. They just don't have the great detail that I saw of sample autopsy reports online. It all appears to be only a basic overview of what had been his autopsy report.
And so this is another thing that has me stumped. How could only one page (possibly) of Glen's autopsy report have been at the ME's Archives Building? If the first page is from the actual autopsy report, where is all the rest of the autopsy report?
Another thing that has me suspicious is that I have a copy of the review report from the review done last year by the Cold Case detectives; and on that report there is a page that has an exact description of how the rope had been looped around Glen's neck.
That leads me to believe that the Cold Case detectives had access to some records from 1968 that had the exact description of how the rope had been looped around Glen's neck. And reference was made last year to there being at least some records from 1968 left. But after the review of Glen's case was closed (even though the Sgt. of the Cold Case Team agreed Glen's death was suspicious), I'm being told that there is NOTHING as far as records from 1968 left. I can't quite totally believe that because as I said there is a description on the review report of exactly how the rope had been looped around Glen's neck that had to have come from records from 1968, but on what I thought was Glen's autopsy report; there is no such exact description. So it seems obvious to me that this "autopsy report" (that I'm supposed to believe is all that is left from 1968) is not where the Cold Case detectives got an exact description of how the rope had been looped around Glen's neck.
I need to know how I can get copies of any and ALL records from 1968. Something besides simply requesting them because I have done that over and over again.
I need someone to explain to me how there were records left last year that the Cold Case detectives had access to that gave exact detail of how the rope had been looped around Glen's neck; but then after the Cold Case detectives agreed Glen's death was suspicous; those records are now suddenly gone.
I do know that after the Sgt. of the Cold Case Team told me he wasn't aware of them having gotten any of Glen's records from the ME's office last year during the review of Glen's case; I read on my copy of the review report "At Sgt. _______'s request the ME's Office searched their archives for any information available pertaining to the death of Glen Davenport" And then the next line says " I received available reports pertaining to the victim. I noted that the death had been noted as accidental on February 5, 1968. The following was obtained from reviewing the reports".
What follows is the part that contains the exact description of how the rope had been looped around Glen's neck. But that did not come from what was sent to me from the ME's office as Glen's autopsy report. So where did all the rest of the records go that the Cold Case detectives had gotten from the ME's Office last year?
