Recently I met a lady who started a business that makes necklaces for those who have loss love ones. After speaking to me the lady sent me a necklace in the mail. The necklace is big heart and then you choose the charms for your necklace. For example if you lose a sister to breast cancer you could purchase the charms that state sister and cancer, or sister and passed away, or the sister and breast cancer charms.
As I looked at the charms I thought to myself there is no charm that fits my type of loss. After speaking with the lady and telling her how I felt she asked me to think of a charm that would work for my daughter. I came up with the word, victim. The reason I chose victim is because the word victim could apply to many who loved ones were victims of crimes, for example: drunk driving. The victim charm will not be available for awhile, I was promised the charm would be made. If you are interesting in viewing the necklace please type Mourning Expressions in Goggle to locate the site. If you cannot locate the site and you are interested please drop me an email via this group.
BTW: I will not make one red cent on any sales. This charm helped me to understand I had emotions that I have not worked thorough which is why I wanted to share the information.

Too many in society don't even want to talk about murder unless it's ghoulish entertainment to them ( ) and also don't want to deal with REAL contact with MVS so this is something that's needed. Thanks again for the information.

Pumpkin:
You are welcome.
When Anita asked me to come up with a name for someone like me, at first I thought of Murder Victim Survivor. Murder Victim Survivor was too large for the charm so I came up with MVS. Then after thinking about it more I called Anita and said victim is probably better than MVS because it is applicable to other types of victim's. Also, it will give me an opportunity to talk about my loss if someone ask me, "What type of victim my daughter was?"

I looked at the site, and I like that you can put a picture into the charm. My younger brother and sister-in-law gave me a necklace one Christmas that they put a tiny picture into - of Bethena with my older brother (he passed of heart disease due to diabetes). It's one of my favorites of course.
I hope wearing yours brings you some comfort and feeling of closeness too Dawn. Yes, the love never ends.
Most parents do talk and think about their children many many times every day. They are still our children. We are still their parents.
(((HUGS)))) to you

Do you know where I could get this information before ordering? Unfortunately, I'm on a tight budget. I think it's wonderful you've helped with this product, by the way!

Melody,
You are welcome.
The victim charm, which are love ones are, remember will not be ready for awhile. We are the survivors our love ones were victims. I am happy MVS was not used because when I think about it, MVS would not have worked because the necklace and the charms are not about us.
I believe if you or anyone else wants to order the necklace and one charm for now. I am sure she would notify you when the other charm is ready. Sorry if this sounds like a sales pitch, it is not.

Dawn, definitely does not sound like a sales pitch. I used to have one of those slide charm bracelets and had lots of symbols important to me on it. If I had one today, I would definitely want a charm representing my brother. I think any of us would like that symbol and the opportunity to discuss what it means.

Dawn This is wonderful news in this economy! ;D Would I need to contact Anita direct to see if it's OK to put the link to the jewelry on other message boards I'm on, etc.? I'd like to help spread the word if at all possible.

I am sure it is okay to share Mourning Expression's site with other groups you affiliate with, since it is a public business. With that said, I am going to let Anita know what you have in mind.
Stay blessed.

This is a very unique way to show your feelings. I will definitely be purchasing a few to wear to Kevin's murderer's probation hearing next year. Thanks for sharing.
