Hello, I am so glad that I came across this site. Seems like there is alot of support from people who know what you are going through.
My name is Rachel, I am Sarahs younger sister.
10 1/2 years ago Sarah,Chuck (her BF and father of her son) a friend and I were involved in an automobile accident. Chuck died instantly. Austin was 8 mts old at the time. Chucks family and our family grew very close over the years.
On Jan 2 1999 my 2 sisters, (Sarah and Aimee) and I were involved in another accident.
Sarah had major injuries to her spinal cord. She would have to be in a wheelchair and breath on ventilater. She was all there mentaly, just not physicaly.
Over the next 6 mts our whole family came together to learn sarahs care. She was so strong and determined to live her life to the fullest for herself and Austin.
Sarah finally came home and had care 24-7. We have lots of supportive family. She had numerous family caregivers who would do anything she needed. She was very outgoing. She loved music. She loved playing on her computer, trying new resturants, writing poetry, watching movies, shopping. She was always up for anything. She had alot people who loved her.
She met Joshua about 2 1/2 years ago. The way they met was he stole her phone while she was out with a friend. Things moved very quickly for them. He soon took total control over her life. He wouldent allow her to be alone with anyone.
I remenber trying to get her to go to lunch with me and she said she would have to take him. He was very sneaky. He has been in and out of jail for domestic abuse most of his adult life.
On Oct 1 Joshua and my sister had a fight, and he left her at 11:30, while he was gone she died. He came back home around 5:30 the next morning to find her dead. I have been meaning to sit down and write the entire story, there are so many parts that I am leaving out, and I want everyone to know the full story. I will attach some links and pics, to the local newspaper about my sisters death. www.modbee.com/local/story/9235166p-10135621c.html
