well, it's crazy, but i saw a dead child in an old car once, and my family, who were with me, looked into the same car i did and no one saw a thing.
it totally freaked me out. this was nearly 20 years ago. i keep hoping to (a) find out that the child really existed and at the same time (b) that it was a figment of my imagination.
my grandfather was a very bad man who killed at least one person and was not caught. i often wonder if the little girl was killed by him and i stumbled across her body (as a child) before he had a chance to get rid of it.
so i haunt the internet when the memory/vision won't leave me alone found this site.
in all other aspects i am "normal." so here is my post, about a victim that may not even exist outside my skull. but dang, it feels so real and so sad.

oh, well, it is nice to hear that i am not the only person who had a whack family where the possibilities are far too possible.
currently i am having great success putting the memory out of my mind by reasoning that it was "ghost" I saw. Having lived for several years in a house very occupied with other-worldly whatevers, the idea of a ghost isn't too hard to swallow.
for other periods of my life, handing the memory over to God has also been pretty helpful.
for a couple of years I SO wanted to ask some re-discovered relatives (an aunt we never saw after our parents separated 45 years ago) but I was scared to death. Now I am reasonably sure that no one is going to kill me if I ask, but I have also come much more to terms with not knowing, so I will probably never ask.
take care, everyone, and thank you again for a secret place to mull it over every now and then. when it gets too bad, i go to counseling.

Dear unk:
I've heard that sometimes children have psychic powers that don't exist as you grow older. I do think it's a very real possibility that you saw a spirit of a child who was murdered by one of your relatives, and not the actual body. That would explain why the adults couldn't see what you saw. This is called a "ghostly imprint"...you might want to look it up on the Internet. When something traumatic happens, sometimes the horror of it "imprints" in a particular area. Those who are sensitive to psychic phenomena are often affected by these imprints, when others who aren't sensitive experience nothing. I hope this explanation brings you some peace of mind. Take care!
