Hello
I have just found this site and am so glad to see it.
My father , who was 56 yrs old. was murdered in his home in Montclair CA. in 1992. He was nearly decapitated and stabbed 27 times after death. The murder weapon was a scalpel. My brother had taken out a lg. insurance policy and had been transferring my fathers accounts to his . He managed to get away with everything, even murder. The Detectives said the DNA testing was 99 percent matched with my brother, they also caught him in several lies but still the DA would not take it to trial. My brother had an alibi. Though, a box of scalpels were found at his alibis home , still nothing down. The property was sold out in an auction by the County.. I found a blue index card with a knife in-print and the words" SIMON'S QUEST" written in large letters on my father's mantle ,when I went back to try to settle the estate. The only person with a key was myself and my brother. I turned that in to the Detectives but nothing again was done.
My father's credit card bills came in and clothing had been purchased 3 days after his murder and I found the bill , as I was rummaging through my brother's car , when he was not around . I turned that in to the detective and I asked, if they could not arrest him on that alone. I was told, yes, but they wanted to get him on murder. Still to this day , nothing. My brother, who my father and his second wife had adopted at 6 weeks old, and who raised him alone from the time he was 5 yrs( my step mother and father had been divorced) until the time of his murder.
