She calls it an "accident" but... if you point a loaded gun at someone and it "accidentally" goes off and kills someone, that's not an accidental death. That's why the police booked her on first degree murder. haysfreepress.com/2011/11/22/mom-says-she-shot-son-in-struggle-over-meds/The gun had to get in her hand, loaded, with the safety off and pointed at someone...and all that happened on purpose. Even if the gun accidentally went off, my stepmother murdered my little brother. Took me a couple months to figure that out...but there are just too many "on purpose" events that led up to his death to call it an accident. Since I started thinking about the facts of what happened...and realizing she murdered him... I have become more and more angry at her for what she did. What in the world was she thinking pointing a loaded gun at her son???

What in the world was she thinking pointing a loaded gun at her son??? Dear Michaelsbubba, I am so sorry for the reason you are here, but welcome to the board. I am so sorry your brother was taken from you. It took me some time to think more clearly about things too, after the initial shock and horror. It seemed as if I was walking around in a fog for a long time. I agree with you, it's hard to see that there was never any intention of the possibility of grave harm, when she had to go get the gun in another room and punch that safety off. I hope you are remembering to take care of you, to be as gentle with yourself as you can. I think that anger is simply a natural human reaction that is to be expected. It helped me to have people I could feel safe talking to, where I could express it freely and vent it so it did not weigh me down even more. I hope it can help you to be able to talk with others here, and you are in my prayers Janet
