greetings Charlene, Carrie, everyone i knew from long ago & those i have not met.
have stayed quiet, for the sake of relative in prison with tommy's murderer. have visited numerous times and checked out the new board. love the smileys!
one month till tommy & my birthday. the (9th without him). his murderer has been in & out of prison several times. fortunately now is an "in" time.
tommy's eldest is now a certified chef and works at a local country club and does beautiful tatoo work as a sideline. the middle son, 18 last week, has been attending a wonderfully progressive highschool where he will be entering his senior year of high school & second year of colleg simultaniously. the youngest boy, living in parts unknown with his mother & her husband, is quite the little man. we get the occasional photo and news but she wisely stays far away from this area. some of her family still lives around here.
we have a resident hawk we have named tommy. yeah, he snacks the occasional chick or duckling but we love him all the same. he sits high on the power lines in the a.m., hunting the ground squirrels and field mice. i like to think he's watching us too. for my bro.
things have quited down since my hasty exit from this board and we are VERY relieved . i've quit working hospice, got tired of seeing my friends/clients die. am now doing respite for alzheimer families. believe it or not, its much better on the heart & mind. my hubby now works for a city entity and has mucho more free time. my kiddies are healing well. my eldest is soon to finish highschool and has set her sights on the police academy- she wants to get the bad guy, like the local PD did for tommy. my baby sleeps in her own room now and the dyslexia is not so much of a problem, it really was emotional.
anyhow, nice to be back. will visit again soon. have been a lurker for some time before diving back in. the water is fine.
